Lonesome wanderer (Turkey, Trabzon 2015)

In 2015 I spend a year travelling across Turkey and Iran. Looking at photographs from this period, I now see clearly their authenticity, uniqueness and strength. At this point I didn’t  try to photograph in a certain fashion, much less producing images editors expect me to produce. I just photographed what felt close to me.

I progressed carefully through thethick fog, one step after another. I was in Trabzon since some time, waiting to pick up my Iranian visa.  One day I saw a thick fog  approaching the city. I took my camera and rushed to the forest which surrounded the city. Once arrived, I start photographing the appearing and disappearing outlines of the trees.

Suddenly I heard the sound of a bell, coming from a flog of sheep’s. Walking in the direction of the sound, the flog suddenly dissolved granting me a short gaze on the other lonesome wanderer in the fog of Trabzon.
